Leadership Meeting 5-29-2008

Hello fellow servants,
For those of you that weren't able to attend the meeting on Thursday night you missed out on several important events, one of which was a five pound burrito the Glenda brought! Here are some of the things that we talked about:
JUNE
June 2- Kurtis is back from deployment!
June 3- BBQ for Kurtis Return and Austin's goodbye bash.
June 12- NCSC- North County Solution for change. This is a serving event. Please encourage
your kids to come out and serve. It is a really fun night, all we have to do is show up,
serve food and hang with kids for like an hour and a half. It would be a blessing if we
could put more emphesis on service events like this...especially to get the kids serving
by example
June 18- CRASH ends! CRASH has been amazing...thanks everyone-especially Ted and Jen.
We had planned to end July 2 but because Grad night on the 25 and beach nights
starting July 2. Make sure to let your group know they don't have much time left!
June 25- 8th grade grad night. Please make sure you attend this. Scott and Stephanie please
make sure that you start contacting all of your kids and making sure that if all possible
they attend with their parents. If you could get me a list of the kids that are in for
sure that would be great! Also, ask as many parents as you can for pictures...
June 27-8th grage progressive dinner. I need all leaders if possible to come out for this
event. We will be driving the kids around to all of the pastor's houses. This is the big
send off for the 8th graders so please get back to me if you absolutely cannot make it!
July
Beach Nights- Every Wednesday in July!
July 14-18- VBS- we do have a junior high group so if you have the time...
July 24-28 Stoddard's gone.
July 21-25 Claudia gone
July 18-31 Stephanie gone.
July 20-22 Glenda gone.
*Because of all the absences and events I have not scheduled any home fellowships or anything for the months of June or July.

August
Aug 3-6 Summer Camp. I reserved 24 spots. 20 kids 4 leaders, including myself. Ted I forgot to ask but would you be willing to cover Wednesday the 6? If you are avaliable we could totally make it a beach night...at least for junior high only!!!

Also with the cost of camp pray about doing a camp around here...Pastor Adam has opened his house or we could do it at Del Mar possibly. Start praying now to see if God leads us in that direction...Thank you all for all of your hard work. God bless you and see you soon!

The Next Leaders Meeting

Hey everyone,
Sorry I didn't post to you on this while I was in Israel...I was busy having fun. I was wondering and hoping (with a very strong emphasis on hoping that everyone would be able to attend a leaders meeting on the 29th of May. Lord willing we will use this time to hang out, eat and get on the same page for this summers events. I am looking forward to seeing you all there!

Israel

So, I will be gone from May 1-15. Here is how we stand so far...

May 1- Manic Drive will be playing in the Cafe. Tickets $5 for them and an usaved friend and $7 at the door.
May 2-3 Scott will be taking some kids to the Pure Worship Conference in Costa Mesa. Abel and the women's worship ministry will also be attending.
May 9- The home fellowship that had been planned for the Martinez house will be moved to the Stoddard's house. Unless otherwise cancelled.

Teaching Schedule:

Sunday, May 4- Ted both services with Scott leading Worship.
Wednesday, May 7- Ted will be leading. This is a CRASH night and I believe they will be showing the Epicenter video. I will have to find someone else to cover worship on this night. Possibly Blake Valdez can do it.
Sunday, May 11- Austin will cover both services and Allison Walker will be leading worship!
Wednesday, May 14- Either this will be the "guess who" tournement or Ted will be teaching...Allison Walker will lead the worship.

Missing

Scott will be in Michigan from the 6-14th. That means my group and Scott's group will not have a leader for Crash nights during that time. Possibly Allison could cover Scott's group and I am sure the Lord will provide...possibly Jerry could show up during that time.

Thank You!

I thank the Lord for all of you. You will all be very rich in Heaven. I thank you for all you do for the ministry and know that I appreciate all you do. I often feel guilty that I overload you in areas where I shouldn't and don't challenge you enough in areas I should. For that I am sorry! Please pray for me while I am in Israel and know that I am praying for you.

CRASH is going awesome! Pray that the Lord keeps His passion burning in the hearts of the kids and that if He should bless us with too many that He would send more laborers to the fields. Also, do your best to show up by 6:15! Kids are showing up super early and we definitely want to start the game at 6:45!

I will do my best to update you while I am over there and anything else that comes to mind I will just post to the blog so please check it as often as you can or when you have any questions. You can also reply with questions and that will enable all to see...and me to answer...just in case other people have the same question! God bless you all and I will see you soon!

Sign of things to come

I hope this is a sign of things to come. Everyone had a blast, and I am looking forward to the next three months. I will talk to you about it tonight at the leaders meeting.
